(Of) Classical Nature

This piece explores connectedness – with oneself, with another person, or with something greater than we are. It lingers in the quiet, fragile moments in which we choose to trust, to lean, or to surrender, and in the layered emotions that surface in the process. Placing one’s trust in something outside oneself can feel comforting or hopeful, but it can also feel desperate, disorienting, or even a little wild. Often these feelings coexist, blending into something honest and deeply human.
The work draws its strength from contrasts: closeness meets isolation, tension meets release, and trust meets uncertainty. These oppositions are not treated as contradictions but as layers of the same experience – the back-and-forth that shapes our relationship with the world and with one another.
It is in this convergence of opposites that connection emerges.

How can we resist gravity – or use it to move, or surrender ourselves to it? And how do we generate centrifugal forces, how can we move within them, and endure the dizziness they create?
Two people on stage are exposed to centrifugal forces and gravity – not only in relation to “Mother Earth,” but also to one another. They play with attraction and repulsion, with longing and distance. We invite you to join a playful exploration of the ground, of rotational forces, and of the gravitational pull between us.

When we Collide
A choreography by Alessio Damiani
“When we collide” explores the imprint of an embrace – one that is longed for, remembered, and desperately needed. It begins with absence: a missing embrace that reverberates through the body like the trace of something once deeply felt. As the movement unfolds, the search for this lost connection becomes increasingly urgent, almost unbearable. What begins as a gentle memory turns into a necessity – a physically palpable desire. The piece reaches its climax in a powerful collision – an embrace so intense it borders on destruction.
