Nira Priore Nouak, Brazilian, has been working in Germany since 1987 as a dancer and dance teacher in various theatres and as a freelancer. In 2003 she began her research into early childhood movement development and somatic work with children. In 2009 she completed the Master of Contemporary Dance Education (MA CoDE) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main and in 2011 she completed her training as a learning and development facilitator at the Institute for Movement and Learning Development in Hamburg. She designs and leads the KINDERTANZT! further education programme for educational professionals in collaboration with the Crespo Foundation and the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main (TPRM). Nira is a guest lecturer, mentor and speaker for further education programmes in various educational institutions. She took part in the further education programme for art and culture professionals of the TPRM and in various training courses on Somatic Work with Bartnieff Fundamentals in the Rhine-Main area and Body-Mind Centering® . Most recently, she studied Somatic Childhood Pedagogy at the Somatic Academy Berlin (SAB) in Berlin. Priore Nouak has been Head of Dance Education for the Hessian State Ballet at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and the Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden since 2016. Her tasks included the conception and coordination of mediation formats and participatory projects for a non-professional audience and the development of a network in the field of cultural education in early childhood education and schools.
