Collaborations with Tom Schilling (Wahlverwandtschaften), Harald Wandtke (Lear), Stephan Thoss (Mercutio, Hilarion, Rotbart uvm.), John Neumeier (Drosselmeier, Jaques, Oliver, Sacre, uvm. ), Birgit Cullberg, Johannes Bönig (Sacre), Glen Tetley (Voluntaries), Uwe Scholz (Rot und Schwarz, Julien Sorel), Mats Ek (Jose) as well as guest performances as a dancer took him around the world.

Further career stations as a soloist and production assistant included the Bühnen der Landeshauptstadt Kiel and the Niedersächsische Staatstheater Hannover.

From 2007 Fischer was rehearsal director and production assistant of the dance division at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden under Stephan Thoss, for whose pieces he took over the rehearsals with the State Ballet of the Vienna State Opera, for Les Grand Ballets Canadiens Montreal and the Ballett Theater Basel, before becoming ballet master of the newly founded Hessisches Staatsballett in 2014, of which he has been 1st ballet master since 2018.

As rehearsal director he supervised rehearsals and creations of such renowned choreographers as Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal/Gai Behar, Damien Jalet, Jiri Kilyán, Cristal Pite, Tim Plegge, Hofesh Shechter, Stephan Thoss or Jeroen Verbruggen, Richard Siegal, Xin Xie, Sita Ostheimer as well as Bryan Arias.

As a guest coach, Uwe Fischer teaches at the Croatian National Theater Rijeka, the Wayne McGregor Company, the National Theater Mannheim and the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company.

He also works as a choreographic assistant for Tim Plegge.
