Julian Sanchez

Julian Sanchez was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where his passion for the arts led him to begin dancing at the age of nine. He began his training in Latin ballroom, ballet, jazz, and contemporary. He attended New World School of the Arts for high school, graduating in 2020. Julian went on to attend The Juilliard School in New York City, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2024. In 2025, he trained at NOD/Nuova X in Torino.
Throughout his training, Julian was fortunate to perform works by Trisha Brown, Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, Hofesh Shechter, Ohad Naharin, Paul Taylor, Roni Chadash, Jonathan Fredrickson, and Bret Easterling, among others. In 2024, Julian performed in R.O.S.E. by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar at the Park Avenue Armory in New York.
Julian is also a choreographer whose numerous works have been selected for presentation at The Juilliard School. He was commissioned to create works for the institution’s Senior Graduation Concerts in 2025 and 2026. Julian has also presented his solo work at multiple choreographic festivals in New York and Berlin.
Julian is deeply grateful to his mentors, educators, and family, who have helped shape him over many years. He greatly admires the diverse repertoire and dancers that make up Hessisches Staatsballett and is excited to join, learn from, and grow with them as a member of the ensemble in the 2026/2027 season.
