The siblings form a creative duo as Dutch choreographers and renowned performing artists. After successful and dance careers at Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT 1 & NDT 2) and/or Batsheva Dance Company, they pursued their own creativity. The collaborative nature of their work often addresses the human condition, the limits and possibilities of body and mind. Their work is multi-layered and surreal with a strong, outspoken dance language that is synonymous with their eclecticism, theatricality and partnering elements. They debuted in 2014 with their creation LiNK for the talent development programme Up & Coming Choreographers. For Up & Coming Choreographers 2015, they realised the work John Doe. In the 2016/17 season, their creation The Grey marked their choreographic debut for the regular programme of NDT 2. In 2019, they then created their highly acclaimed debut work Take Root for NDT 1, which was nominated for the Dutch Zwaan as ‘best dance production’. From 2020, they both concentrated exclusively on choreography. In 2021, they created Baby don’t hurt me for NDT 1, a highly acclaimed work revolving around the themes of identity, sexuality, gender and love. Their most recent creations are Eye Candy with the Rambert Dance Company and The little man for the Nationaltheater Mannheim.
