Beata Stankevič is a cultural program curator and manager in the performing arts, with a particular focus on contemporary dance. After studying at the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg, she dedicated herself to developing the dance scene in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She curated international and regional dance programs as well as contemporary dance performances, including the initiation of a professional theatre experience for children in Dubai by inviting the dance performance PUZZLE for babies and toddlers by the award-winning Lithuanian dance theatre Dansema.
In addition, she was involved in the development of pioneering formats, including the programming of the country’s first international contemporary dance program for the Quoz Arts Fest in 2016 and 2017. In 2020, she co-founded the non-profit cultural initiative HIBA Art Project to promote the dissemination of dance in the UAE. Her interests lie particularly in cultural policy, the fostering of cultural communities, and the social impact of the arts.
