In her new creation Vanishing Place, Luna Cenere designs a conscious practice of hiding and revealing in a choreographic research process. By creating space and emptiness in the dancers inside, Cenere makes them disappear and at the same time allows the gestures of the body to emerge. Concentrating on the space between the bodies, she creates – supported by light gestures, architectural elements and the composition of aspecific soundscapes – a surrealistic landscape. In doing so, Cenere bridges history, personal and collective memory, and the present moment.
