The acclaimed company La Veronal creates a dazzling cosmos in which reality and fantasy constantly merge into one another. With Firmamento, Marcos Morau and his dancers turn their attention to the moment between youth and adulthood, a stage of life filled with possibilities, expectations and uncertainties. Doors open onto new worlds, spaces change shape, and figures move through a labyrinth of memories, dreams and projections.
La Veronal’s distinctive movement language combines precise physical imagery with visual art and cinematic forms of storytelling. Fragmented gestures, mask-like figures, intricately composed group formations and living tableaux unfold into a journey through our imagination, inviting us to reflect on our own life stories. In a time defined by speed and pragmatism, Marcos Morau opens up a space for imagination and tells of the worlds we created as children and which continue to shape the way we see the present today.
