Hessisches Staatsballett Surprises Passers-by with Flash Mob in Wiesbaden City Centre

On 14 October 2026, dancers from Hessisches Staatsballett delighted passers-by with a flash mob in Wiesbaden city centre. Transforming Kranzplatz and Mauritiusplatz into impromptu stages, the dancers surprised the public with an unexpected dance performance.

The initiative originated within the ensemble itself, driven by the desire to bring dance beyond the walls of the theatre and offer people the opportunity to experience the art form in a new and immediate way.

The flash mob also offered a first glimpse of the upcoming production “Nachtträume” by Marcos Morau, which will premiere on 6 November 2026 at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden.

With this initiative, Hessisches Staatsballett reaffirmed its commitment to making dance an accessible and vibrant art form, creating new opportunities for encounters between artists and audiences.
