Taulant Shehu is a performer, educator, and choreographer. He studied at Cannes Jeune Ballet and Tirana Ballet School. Since 2008, he has performed professionally in theaters like Staatstheater Wiesbaden (Hessisches Staatsballett), Ballett Dortmund, and Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf.
As a choreographer, Taulant has created works for various theaters and art institutions, including Künstlerhaus Mousonturm (part of Tanzplattform Rhein-Main in Frankfurt), Staatstheater Darmstadt, Stadttheater Wiesbaden, Nationaltheater Mannheim, National Ballet of Kosovo, and the National Theatre of Tirana.
In addition to his performance and choreographic work, Taulant is an educator. He teaches at Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main and is a lecturer at the Berufsverband der Tanztherapeutinnen Deutschlands e.V. His teaching includes dance therapy for disabled and trauma-affected children in different schools in Germany, and he leads social projects such as “Tanzklub” in Wiesbaden and Darmstadt as part of the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main initiative.
