TURN: Gob Squad, Ethan Braun und Soloist Ensemble Kaleidoskop

TURN is an invitation to dance in dark times. Johann Strauss lived and worked during a turbulent period of social change. He witnessed political unrest and social mobility, revolution, and the transformation of European society—developments that, 200 years later, seem both distant and strangely familiar. Taking the Strauss anniversary year as its starting point, Gob Squad embark on an expansive performance that searches for an alternative society, extending from the individual to the cosmic rotation of the planets.

TURN is a collaboration with composer Ethan Braun, the Soloist Ensemble Kaleidoskop, and everyone who wishes to actively participate or simply watch. The production suggests a relaxed dress code: denim clothing.
