FRANCIS FOOTWORK by David Bolger is a virtual reality dance piece for young people aged 8–11, exploring the freedom of expression and individuality.
“When the kind-hearted King Two Lefties ascends the throne, he is manipulated by his trusted advisor, Colonel Headbanger, into ruling the land with an iron fist. He wants to put an end to all dancing. But Francis gives him a dance lesson he’ll never forget!”

CREATIVE DANCE TALES Workshop for young people aged 8–11
Through storytelling and simple, lively movement tasks, children are introduced to the story of Francis Footwork during the workshop. This is followed by the VR experience/performance. In the subsequent discussion, participants reflect together on what they have experienced and seen.
