As an open offering, the “Forum Dance Education” enables an in-depth exchange on educational issues, concepts, and ideas, complementing the project-related activities of the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main in this area.<\/p>\n

The format is aimed at educators, teachers, artists, facilitators, and other interested individuals. In dialogue with various regional and international stakeholders, questions related to education and cultural learning are discussed and tested.<\/p>\n

Staying in Touch – “Perspectives on the Collaboration between Dance and Schools”<\/h4>\n\t<\/div>\n\t

Contact with dance has been proven to have remarkable effects on the creative, social, and analytical development of children and adolescents. However, there are often hesitations toward this art form in the educational context.<\/p>\n

The collaboration between dance and schools offers diverse opportunities for encounters, exchange, and mutual learning. Together with dance professionals, teachers, and educators, we want to identify and explore the needs, challenges, and expectations, and investigate how we can build stronger partnerships and collaborate more effectively to raise awareness of contemporary dance among children and young people.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

C\u00e9lestine Hennermann<\/h4>\n\t<\/div>\n\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

C\u00e9lestine Hennermann studied Theatre Studies and Directing in Frankfurt, Paris, and Seattle. She worked as a dramaturg for William Forsythe at Ballett Frankfurt and for Motion Bank. Since 2009, she has been developing dance for young audiences with Hennermanns Horde. As a teacher and freelance dramaturg, she works at institutions such as the HfMDK, Goethe University, HMT Leipzig, as well as in contemporary and urban dance.<\/p>\n

Ilana Reynolds has been working in the fields of dance\/performance, choreography, and pedagogy for over 15 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary Dance Education from the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main. Since 2018, she has been collaborating with choreographer C\u00e9lestine Hennermann as a dance dramaturg, specializing in dance productions for young audiences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
