Dance theater by Célestine Hennermann Premiere as part of the International May Festival 8+

This co-production between JUST and the Hessian State Ballet is another interdisciplinary work. Members of the JUST theater and ballet ensembles will jointly develop a unique, cross-genre form.

We humans have roots, and we usually associate this with familial belonging. But does my family tree define who I am? Are my ancestors a part of me, even if I don’t know them? And what does it mean to have a family, and how does a family speak about love, taboos, and generations? Through interviewed stories, humorous anecdotes, and mysterious snapshots, a piece will emerge that goes beyond merely exploring connections and relationships.

The ensemble embarks on a sensually moving journey using dance, acting, and photography to explore family constellations, love, and the dialogue between generations.
